People in Monroe County use their cars frequently. People rarely expect to be involved in a car accident. However, as readers of this blog know, car accidents happen often all over the state.
An accident involving multiple vehicles took place earlier this month at approximately 9:30 a.m. The car accident took place in the Lower Pottsgrove Township and included an armored car and a number of automobiles traveling eastbound on Route 422. The collision may have been caused by adverse weather conditions.
The accident caused the armored car to be overturned and trapped the driver in his vehicle. After being rescued from the automobile, the man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Montgomery county officials have said that multiple crashes occurred after a minor snow storm left the roads slippery.
Bad weather often causes poor road conditions that can contribute to car accidents. When a city or county fails to clear roads after a storm in a timely manner, this can also cause poor road conditions. However, this does not excuse drivers from the responsibility to drive carefully and obey traffic laws. During the winter months, it is even more important for driver's to use extra caution.
After an accident, a competent personal injury lawyer may be able help victims reconstruct the circumstances surrounding the event, and if someone is responsible for the accident, they may be able to help hold those at fault accountable for their actions. After all, a car accident can lead to large medical bills. Accident victims shouldn't face financial hardships as a result of another driver's negligence.
