The Pennsylvania Bar Association received an award in February 2013 at the Conference of County Bar Leaders in State College. The Bar was honored for its Fairy Tale Mock Trial program in which attorneys present a mock trial to Monroe County 5th graders based on a fairy tale. Each year, a group of children are selected to act as a jury. At the end of the trial, time is allotted for the children to ask questions to the presiding judge. It gives the children a fun way of learning about how trials are conducted. Newman Williams' attorneys participate yearly in this worthwhile event.
