Injured in a Poconos Motorcycle Accident? We can help

On Behalf of | Jun 3, 2019 | Firm News |

Motorcycle accidents, though not necessarily more frequent than car accidents, are more likely to result in serious injury or death. According to the federal government, per mile traveled in 2006, there were 35 times more deaths from motorcycle accidents than from car accidents and statistics show accidents are increasing.

When I was taking the course for my motorcycle license a number of years ago, I learned that the single most dangerous situation for a cyclist is when cars are making left-hand turns. Why is not entirely clear. A motorcycle’s smaller size certainly makes it less visible, especially if the rider is not wearing high visibility clothing. Also, I believe that the single headlight at the front gives the oncoming driver less depth perception on how far away the bike is.
